Audiobook maker Support

Help and contact

Audiobook maker turns PDFs, EPUBs and other documents into audiobooks on your iPhone, with natural voices that run on the device.

Contact: admin@logwithme.com. Please include your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version (Settings in the app, at the bottom).

Getting started

  1. Tap + in the library to import a PDF, EPUB, Word, RTF, text, Markdown or HTML file, a web link, or a scan of printed pages. You can also drop files into Files › On My iPhone › Audiobook maker.
  2. Open the book and press Play. The first time, the app offers to download a natural voice (a few hundred MB); you can start straight away with a built-in Apple voice.
  3. Tap any sentence to jump there. The ⋯ menu has chapters, bookmarks and notes, study tools and whole-book generation.

Common questions

Which voices can I use? Kokoro and Supertonic run on your iPhone after a one-time download; Apple's voices need no download. Optional voices from your own computer or from a cloud service with your own key are in Settings › Home Server and Settings › Cloud Services.

Does it work offline? Yes. Once a voice is downloaded, reading, generating audio and listening all work without a connection.

Why does a book take time to start? Audio is made a little ahead of where you listen. To have a whole book ready, choose ⋯ › Voice & Audio › Generate Whole Book; it continues while the iPhone is charging.

How do I use it in the car? Connect to CarPlay and open Audiobook maker: Continue, Library and Chapters let you pick what to play. Books whose voice still needs downloading are greyed out — download the voice on your iPhone first.

Widgets, Live Activity and Siri. Add the Continue Listening widget from the Home Screen. While a book plays, a Live Activity shows the sentence being read. Say "Continue my book in Audiobook maker" to Siri, or use the app's actions in Shortcuts.

How do I back up my library? Settings › Backup makes a file in Files › On My iPhone › Audiobook maker › Backups. Restore from the same screen on a new iPhone.

Where is my data? On your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
